Need a test now?

Ask the employer, recruiter or referring professional for the full test name and whether an independently booked assessment will be accepted. A Chester Step estimate and completion of a prescribed Chester Treadmill assessment are different outputs.

Before booking, confirm the protocol, practitioner, appointment location, price, preparation instructions and what report you will receive. Use our test comparison guide and fire-service guidance to prepare those questions.

If you need a seafarer medical or offshore medical, check the relevant official register as well as the test offered. The MCA approved-doctor lists and OEUK medical-examiner directory serve their own purposes. A Chester directory listing is not a substitute for those approvals.

What a provider listing can include

Each listing will describe a specific location or service area, the tests available, the people or organisations served and how to enquire. A provider may offer public appointments, referral-only testing or employer contracts. Internal staff-only testing will be identified clearly if listed.

Chester Step, Cycle and the different Treadmill protocols will be named separately. Providers should state the software and protocol they actually use rather than treating “CST2” as a name for all Chester tests.

How applications are reviewed

1. Submit your service details. Use one application per location or clearly defined mobile service area.
2. We review the application. We may ask for clarification about the organisation, tests, public contact route, qualifications or claimed approvals.
3. Confirm the proposed listing. We will confirm the public details with you before publication.
4. Keep it current. Tell us when your location, tests, booking arrangements or contact details change. Listings can be corrected, paused or removed.

Application is open to CST2 customers and other providers. Purchasing software is not evidence of clinical accreditation, professional registration or employer acceptance. Any future “CST2 use confirmed” label will identify the software-use check only; it will not endorse the practitioner’s clinical competence. We will not publish unverified accreditation or employer-approval claims.

Free listings during the pilot

Applications and standard listings are free during this pilot. We are exploring optional promoted profiles once the directory can demonstrate enquiries. Any paid placement would be clearly labelled and would not imply accreditation or employer approval.

You can privately request details of future paid promotion in the application form. This is optional, does not affect your free application and does not commit you to a purchase. We do not guarantee enquiries or bookings.
