Polar Verity Sense optical heart rate sensor
The Polar Verity Sense is a lightweight optical heart rate monitor worn on the upper arm or forearm. It gives athletes, coaches and fitness professionals live heart rate data without the restriction of a chest strap. Connect it to a compatible sports watch, training app or gym equipment, or record a session to its internal memory and synchronise the results afterwards.
Why choose the Polar Verity Sense?
- Freedom of movement: a soft adjustable armband provides a secure alternative to a chest strap.
- Three training modes: broadcast heart rate live, record a session internally, or use swimming mode.
- Flexible connectivity: two simultaneous Bluetooth connections plus ANT+ broadcasting.
- Long training time: up to 30 hours from the rechargeable battery.
- Extended range: broadcasts to compatible equipment from up to 150 metres in suitable conditions.
- Built-in memory: 16MB storage for up to 600 hours of training.
- Swimming ready: WR50 water resistance and a swimming-goggle strap clip are included.
Comfortable heart rate monitoring for sport and fitness
At only 19g including the armband, Polar Verity Sense is designed for sessions where comfort and unrestricted movement matter. The optical sensor measures heart rate from the arm or temple, making it useful for running, cycling, gym training, group exercise and swimming.
View heart rate in real time through compatible Polar products, third-party apps and ANT+ fitness equipment. For phone-free training, select recording mode and transfer the session to Polar Flow later.
Polar Verity Sense for swimming
Attach the sensor to swimming goggles using the supplied clip. In swimming mode, it records heart rate and can work with Polar Flow to provide swimming-session data. Its WR50 rating makes it suitable for swimming when used according to Polar’s guidance.
Polar Verity Sense versus Polar H10
Choose Polar Verity Sense when comfort, arm-based measurement, swimming versatility and freedom from a chest strap are the priorities. Choose the Polar H10 chest strap when you need electrical heart rate measurement, rapid response to heart-rate changes or greater suitability for HRV-focused work.
