If you use a Fitmate, then you will need to replace the Cosmed Fitmate permapure every 8 to 12 months.
The replacement Permapure tubing for use with the Cosmed Fitmate PRO, Fitmate MED or Fitmate nutritional system Desktop Metabolic System Replacement gas tubing, fits both the VO2 transducer and the RMR transducer.
The purpose of Permapure tubing is to remove moisture from the gases, therefore increasing the accuracy of the gas sensor.
